    Meditation Chair/Pillow

    Hello to all that reads.

I am wondering if a meditation pillow or chair is advised. I am unable to sit in the Lotus position at this time (I have been doing stretches daily for over a year to try and accomplish it, so maybe some day).

Something along the lines of this:

If they are, does anyone have suggestions on a specific model or brand?

Thank you very much in advance.

I also am curious about this. Will I lose effectiveness if I meditate in a kneeling position supported by a small bench? I have attempted the lotus, and am able to do so, however sitting in this position, even on a cushion inevitably results in both of my legs falling completely asleep which is a great problem. I also have lower back issues that are more easily handled during meditation if I am kneeling supported on a bench. Will my efforts still be valid?
