Smile Any Dharma Meditations for Beginners?

There can be hundreds or thousands of ways to meditate. Most I am familiar with is Buddhist Meditation.

Anyone can recommend what sort of "Godly" meditations they do? I can check Google but I don't want to run into new age constructs, I want the real thing.

What sort of Meditations do Hindu's here do as a part of their daily activities and for what purposes?

Vannakkam SS: Its a good idea to practice sitting still, and breathing rhythmically. That in itself can be very difficult for some people.
