I expect that place locates in India. Nice creation!

Namaste Jeff08,
While this could be seen by some as insulting, trivializing, or simply
inappropriate, the are two other thoughts I draw from this: one is that it is
a wry comment on what people's behavior, as opposed to their words, say
about their worship and devotion, especially amongst the younger
generations... which would cause more genuine distress, the loss of a local
mandir/opportunity for puja and darshan- or the loss of local Internet
services?
Another thought is that Maa Saraswati perhaps is indulgent in Her
devotees' attempts to be modern and clever.. after all, all forms of learning
and communication, speech and technology, belong to Her- and though
facebook is not in of itself a divine creation, it would not be possible
without Her.. As I do not know the minds of those responsible for what is
pictured, I do not wish to speculate overmuch- it is certainly thought-provoking, in any event.

Ah...ha! I couldn't understand what it was about until I took a look at the picture 3 or 4 times! I don't understand why someone would need to create a FB page-like building afterall...! We see so many small shrines for Ganapathi all along the roadways in India, why something like that couldn't be created?
