Waterfalls of India

“In respect to Waterfalls, India is unequalled” – India and the Hindoos by F. De W. Ward of the American Oriental Society published 1877.

That is true as said in this early introduction to the geography and people of India to Americans. Indeed, the waterfalls in India are unequalled.

In Tamilnadu is the Kaveri River and there is found a complex of waterfalls. Below is one view of the Hogenakkal Waterfall:
