Zorastrinism is also one of the oldest religion of the world, their gods were also similar to ours like Ahura mazada of the zend avesta is varuna of the vedas, So I made this thread to discuss about zorastrinism, and would be glad if any of you decide to join in.

Yes It is a monotheistic religion, oldest of the world. It also has remarkable similarity with our ancient culture. Zend avesta and avestan language closely parallels sanskrit. Mitra is also a god of them. Ahura mazada is a cognate to our varuna.

The RV predates knowledge of iron in the sub continent making it older than 1000 BC, while Zoroastrianism is dated to around 600 BC. The other possibility is the two were later spin-offs of an earlier proto Indo-Iranian belief. I am inclined towards the latter.
