    Bookstores to Find Hinduism Books

    Pranams,

Since there is tremendous demand for reliable knowledge about Hinduism, and since finding books on this subject can be quite difficult, I thought it would be great if we could have a stickied thread in which we share information on bookstores in which Hinduism books could be found. I will reproduce here a partial list I have encountered during my web browsing. I would like to encourage members to offer up similar suggestions.

    http://www.parimalpublication.com/
(excellent variety of translations, many revised versions of older publications)

    http://www.exoticindia.com/
(good reseller, great variety but books often overpriced)

(Giri Trading Agency has branches in Mumbai and Chennai and also has good variety in my experience)

    http://www.krishna.com/
    (ISKCON books)

    http://www.printsasia.com/
(many Parimal books can be found here but far less expensive)

    http://www.rasbihari.com/
(mostly Gaudiya Vaishnava books, sells many translation of Bhanu Swami)

One quick warning about many of these Indian bookstores. Often times, the Hinduism books are not well advertised from the home page. You often have to navigate through several layers of categories before you get to the Hinduism books. Don't be discouraged by a home page that omits any reference to Hinduism - some of these places do have good variety of Hinduism books but you just have to navigate some to find it.
