Namaste, Sudas and welcome to HDF.
I can fully understand and share your concerns, as I believe in the Rig Veda myself and worship Maha Rudra. I am also an Animist.
As such, I have encountered discrimination on here by certain members (whom I shall not mention) and get totally miffed when others quote the Bhagavad Gita or other Vaishnava texts to refute any 'claim' I make.
However, not all members are like that...there are quite a few nice folk on here too.
The problem is that if you specialise too much, you'll only find one post in a blue moon that you are actually 'qualified' to reply to and everything else is just 'mmmkay...whatever'.
You just have to forge your own path through the 'minefield' that is HDF. You'll get blown up a few times, but at least you'll know where those 'mines' are for future reference, then just go about stepping around them.
Let not the thoughts and opinions of others on here deter you from joining or posting.

One more thing I have been thinking about and ruminating over since my last post on this thread...
I love Rigvedic Indra the most.I also prefer the yagya form of worship in accordance with Rigved...but who ever told you that Bhakti is only associated with Krishna Murtis and Aarti?bhakti doesn't interest me. I like yagya.
Bhakti and Yagya don't have to be 'mutually exclusive terms' if you don't want them to be.
Always remember this....Rudra/Indra is the Agni. He is the 'Swaha'. He is you performing the oblation...He is everything!
The passion in your tone indicates that Bhakti is there, whether you mentally acknowledge this or not.
Next time you perform the fire sacrifice, do it out of love and passion for Lord Indra. You'll see what I mean.
Aum Namah Shivaya

Pranam again Sudas ji
I don't think you are only one out there, there is no reason to feel isolated or discriminated.
although i am not pantheist but i do respect all the Devas and i do not subscribe to hierarchy amongst them.
Rig veda only admit to 33 devas, perhaps you can expand on this in a new thread.
Jai Shree Krishna
Rig Veda list only 33 devas, they are all propitiated, worthy off our worship, all other names of gods are derivative from this 33 originals,
Bhagvat Gita; Shree Krishna says Chapter 3.11 devan bhavayatanena te deva bhavayantu vah parasparam bhavayantah sreyah param avapsyatha Chapter 17.4 yajante sattvika devan yaksa-raksamsi rajasah pretan bhuta-ganams canye yajante tamasa janah
The world disappears in him. He is the peaceful, the good, the one without a second.
I think that when he says "discriminated," the OP means will his views be questioned. And when he says "accepted," the OP means will the legitimacy of his views be accepted without question.
There are fair number of atheists, agnostics, and Buddhists who post here, and none them appear to be crying foul about "discrimination."

Namaste SP.
And welcome to the HDF!
It is precisely BECAUSE of this forum that I now have a hightened allegence to VEDIC CULTURE and you can explore the libraries of Saidevo, Omkara and contributions of Satay on Vedic Culture.
I also am, and have always been, biased towards "old is gold". That isn't the only reason I am a Saiva, but it does reinforce my devotion to Rudra (especially the 11th Rudra).
However, unlike you, I am definetly a "Modern Hindu" (e.g. Hinduism of the middle ages revivalism countering Jain, Buddhist and Muslim power structure).
But no way would I ever make joke of Lord Indra, Who is absolutely real and worshipful.
While this may not be "Vedic", there is a temple that I go to sometimes in the South Bay (falls under the Hindu community type temples serving mostly Desis) that has Navgraha or Nine Planets worship and I sometimes give devotion there and to Shani Dev. Now there was a strict Vaishnav friend who often criticise what and Whom I worship, but he also circumbulated the Nine Planets.
No matter what, we are friends forever.
Likewise, I face critical responses on the forum, even though my golden rule is to be a friend to all Hindus no matter what sect, but that will never stop me from posting (unless of course I'm banned). Actually, anyone who knows me "live" knows I am a "jokester" who probably has an odd way of disturbing things (I was ordered by a savant that the rule for me in this life is "do not disturb others" (inbetween laughing) so critical opinion of what I might say does happen on the forum and really, it's just a forum after all, pretty much I am laughing in the background, but honestly while a member or two has shunned me, I have never been "disciminated against".
You know, there are some temples who won't allow everyone in. But even those, somehow I managed to get in some of the "hard" ones, attitude and respect is part of the keys to the door.
Don't take some members too seriously, that's all. If they think hot lead should be poured into your ears for hearing the Veda, just remember they have no power to do so and if the government (including India) thought they might actually try, they would be arrested as terrorist along with Muslim terrorists. Nothing is discriminating against you, only your Lord can do that, some are just more active and vocal than others.
By the way, what us your perspective on Gayatri Devi?
Om Namah Sivaya
