Anyone have an expert commentary on this, regarding Red Coral, and why?
Thanks!

The colour looks like a combination of ब्रध्न (light reddish brown) and अरुषी (color of rising Sun). These are the colors of Horses of Asvins, which Indra supplies to them. In this post already a possibility of अरुषी (Arushi) being color related to Vayu and ब्रध्न (bradhna) being related to Marut is discussed. So the Asvins-connection implies medical properties.
Things to remember:
1. Life = yajña
2. Depth of Āstika knowledge is directly proportional
to the richness of Sanskrit it is written in
3. Āstika = Bhārata ("east") / Ārya ("west")
4. Varṇa = tripartite division of Vedic polity
5. r = c. x²
where,
r = realisation
constant c = intelligence
variable x = bhakti
