    Simple translation

    Greetings!

I go straight on the topic. An year before I read nice book in Bulgarian language, called Gods of the lotus. It is by a russian author, story about himself going along the steps of Nicholas Roerich in The Himalayas. So in this books there is a quote that comes from the Vedas or maybe from Dhammapada, I am not totally sure.

So here is the brief tranlsation in english:

    Your son is not yours
    Your fortune also
The very you are only encho
    With which a peak returs

...so I really want to find a PROPER english translation of this quote or even better, to find it in sanskrit, so then I can make it as an wooden ornamet inscription, gift for a good friend. She is an yoga teacher, it is gonna fit perfect in her studio.

Thanx to all interested helping me on this quest!

There is a near term quotation in sanskrit.

Na Taato Na Maataa Na Bandhur-Na Daataa
Na Putro Na Putrii Na Bhrtyo Na Bhartaa |
Na Jaayaa Na Vidyaa Na Vrttir-Mama-Iva
    Gatis-Tvam Gatis-Tvam Tvam-Ekaa Bhavaani

    Meaning:
1.1: Neither the Father, nor the Mother; Neither the Relation and Friend, nor the Donor,
1.2: Neither the Son, nor the Daughter; Neither the Servant, nor the Husband,
1.3: Neither the Wife, nor the (worldly) Knowledge; Neither my Profession,
1.4: You are my Refuge, You Alone are my Refuge, Oh Mother Bhavani.
    Love and best wishes:hug:

Did Roerich find the deep knowledge he was looking for and if so, what?
