Home purchase - where's the key?

    Hari Om!

Bought a house today - truly the perfect home by all means. All of the details just to my liking. Came furnished too - simple, elegant yet comfortable. Rooms are just the right size and entertaining will be an activity that is looked forward to. Kitchen is large which is a feature that I've always favored. Will have a room dedicated just to the vast collections of books that I've amassed over the years and will appreciate being able to display them and have many important works readily accessible. Large windows and vaulted ceilings add an extra dimension of space. Great neighborhood too!

Paperwork is complete, deal is done. Should be ready for move-in any day now.

It's mine - Yes!! So proud of this moment and of myself. Have never been happier.

    Arrival.

My Home Doesn't Come with a KEY! No, the house is secure and there are locks that are in use on all the doors. I just can't get in! Imagine that - I bought a house, a "complete" home, and it doesn't come with KEYS!

    Now the real work begins:

    1. Have a new key made
    2. Change the locks (?)

All of the treasure is within.

Have spent a great deal of my time trying to create the "perfect" life. Manicured lawns, a fantastic career, satisfying relationships. All exterior. Questions that once had answers are now begging for a more permanent truth and I have little else left save going within.

So the work of the key will begin.

    I WANT IN!!

    Om

    Namaste,

So who locked up the house? Surely they are planning on giving you the key. There has to be one! LOL.

"Here's your new home you just bought. You may have to break in though. Good luck!"

    Congratulations, it sounds perfect.

Vannakkam: This IS clever metaphor, no? If not, it could be.

    Hari Om Bhai!

    Very happy for you.

On the real, change the locks for sure.

On the other, with Eastern MindJi, 100%.

    Namaste

A post from yesterday was edited to turn a similie to metaphor, because that IS what it is. Honestly, this thread wasn't read before that, and a metaphor is being discussed here. What's going on?

This happens all the time. The antaryAmi (inner dweller, paramAtmA) likes to play (leelA). He says there aren't any walls in the form of individuals (perhaps curtains?). We just see what isn't really there - or He uses play curtains. The universe is His doll-house.

I don't know if this is metaphor or an actual event.

A key is such a small thing if you think about it. Yet it can unlock an entire house.

But why do we have to have locks at all? Our animal friends will not likely come in through the front door.

We basically lock out other humans. Especially when we are not home, or sleeping.

We cannot trust each other in this age.

Some say a house is the worst investment. But I must have one, even a small one. A big one is all the world. Then you are a sadhu, you don't need a lock then
