    Sadhus and Rastafarians

Hello, my question is: did sadhus influence on rastafarian culture?
I mean there are many similarities, rastafarians smoke pot to connect with God, they use long hair and dreadlocks, they are vegetarians, they believe in reincarnation.
Do somebody know if there's a sadhu connection in rastafarian culture?

    Thanks.

Yes they were absolutely influenced by two Kali ascetic. Hence ganja is called Kali weed.

When I , the little I started practicing Yoga decided to attempt reunication in the big city, and ended up acting like some sort of rasta. Rastas are urban sadhus of the west

    Greetings,

Do they really believe in reincarnation?

    Namaste

Rastaman say that 'zion(nature) is heaven, life is your right.'
Thus they have no concept of an afterlife, or moksha for that matter...
They believe in an endless cycle of reincarnation.

    Namaste
After reading into Rastafari, I found that they believe God or Jah exists in the ether like radiowaves, existing everywhere as life.
The Jamaica Rastas say that dreadlocks are I-teni(antenn) to Jah(God).
they describe it as 'I and I consciousness' because uts the I-man(Atman?) In all beings...

Its quite interesting, it sounds really familiar doesn't it?
