    Anyone else like Trevor Hall

    Namaste,

I just wanted to share with all of you my absolute favorite American musician. His name's Trevor Hall, and he does mostly acoustic/alternative type music that is very spiritual. He is also Hindu and incorporates it into his music beautifully.

Here are a few of my favorite songs of his that I thought others here might enjoy:

    Oh Shankara: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZuV5c34qKc

    Bharat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BxXmI9AgNc

    Rudrashtakam (Shiva Stuti): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLDce4uf5r8

There's a bunch more, will share some more later.

    Thanks for letting me share!

    Namaste,

Here is another one, called 'My Baba' also featuring Krishna Das. It is a tribute to Sri Baba Neem Karoli.

    Namaste,

Thanks for introducing us to a new artist. Lyrics, in a person's native tongue, set to soul touching music is hard to beat!

    Namaskar,

My Baba is one of my favorites after you introduced Trevor in another thread. I didn't see he had done Rudraastakam, wonderful! Please do post more when you have time?

    Namaste Aanandinii,

I am so happy that you like it!! I was absolutely thrilled to find an American artist who is spiritual and works it beautifully into the music. He is a Shakta and has a few songs for the Goddess:

    Om Shakti Om: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zD1WveH3xI

    My Beating Heart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKFbcZwJSy4

Not sure what this one is called, but it starts out Jagado Darini Mata Durga - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGoji7ZLr2g

He has a lot more music that is still spiritual and positive, but more mainstream and not as religious. Even in those you will still find many references to the Gods or some mantras and the like within the music, which I really like.

His Hindu name is Rampriya Das, and searching that on Youtube will bring up a lot more of his informal bhajans. If you look under Trevor Hall you will find the more mainstream music.

This would be why when I searched under his English name I didn't find all that much. Thank you again!

I had heard Om Shakti Om before, either from the Bhajans thread or after a search I did. It's been on my playlist for almost as long as My Baba. He is wonderful, truly ecstatic music.
