Namaste ji,
my knowledge about ashok sundari-
ashok sundari is daugher of mata parvati and Lord shiva, her tale is not mention in any scripture except padma purana I think...
She is born from kalpa vriksha (wish fullfilling tree)... Once godess parvati said mahadev that she want to go to the beautiful garden in the world then lord shiva and godess parvati arrive at nandanvan there ma parvati saw kalpavriksha and make wish to have daugher to rid of from her lonliness, the wish granted and she gets daughter, the name ashoksundari is derived from word ashok means easing shok which refers sorrow of parvati and sundari which means beautiful girl, she gets married to nahusha, nahusha kills the demon hunda there is another tale about it, once nahusha also being the king of gods in absense of Indra...
I think I have right knowledge but if something wrong then sorry..
Other member will give u right insight
Thank You..!!

He dances in the golden hall of Chidambaram, Let us worship His rosy anklet girt Feet.
Namaste,
I've heard that the history of Her birth is mentioned in Padma Purana.
Namaste,
Are there any websites that have English translations of the Puranas online?

When the light has risen, there is no day, no night, neither existence nor non-existence; Siva alone is there. That is the eternal, the adorable light of Savitri, - and the ancient wisdom proceeded thence (Svetasvatara Upanishad IV-18). :)
It seems as Ekam says, there is information in the Padma Purana.
Has anyone here read the Padma Purana?
