With all due sincere respects to late Dr. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, I found this following picture and message comparing the late President with 'Hanuman' rather offensive. This message floated around in my FB page today. Some 'Hindu nut' had originated it!



ஆஞ்சநேயரும் அப்துல்கலாமும் !

அப்துல்கலாம் தேச பக்தர் !

ஆஞ்சநேயர் மலையைப் பெயர்த்தெடுத்தார்
அப்துல்கலாம் பொக்ரானில் பூமியை பெயர்த்தெடுத்தார் !

(Anjaneya dug out a mountain
Abdul Kalam tore out a portion of land in Bahrain)

ஆஞ்சநேயரின் மந்திரம் ஸ்ரீ ராமஜெயம்
அப்துல்கலாமின் மந்திரம் வந்தேமாதரம் !

(Anjaneya's mantra is SriRamaJayam
Abdul Kalam's mantra is Vande Mataram)

ஆஞ்சநேயர் கண்ணை மூடி
தான் மட்டும் கனவு கண்டார்

(Anjaneya closed his eyes and dreamt for his own cause)

அப்துல்கலாம் கண்களைத் திறந்து
எல்லோரையும் கனவு காணச் செய்தார் !

(Abdul Kalam envisioned with open eyes and made everyone dream)

ராமனை அரசனாக்க உறுதி பூண்டார்
அப்துல்கலாம்
இந்தியாவை வல்லரசாக்க உறுதி பூண்டார் !

(Anjaneya vouched to make Rama a King
Abdul Kalam vouched to make India a world leader)

ஆஞ்சநேயர் ராம தூதர்
அப்துல்கலாம் நமக்கான தூதர் !

(Anjaneya is Rama-dhoota
Abdul Kalam is OUR dhoota)

ஆஞ்சநேயருக்குப் பின்
ராமனுக்காக ராமனை விட
அதிக மக்கள் கூடியது
அப்துல்கலாமிற்காக என்பதால்

(After Anjaneya, first time crowd gathered greater in number even than for Rama)

ராமேஸ்வரம் இன்று முதல்
கலாமேஸ்வரம் ஆகிறது !

(Rameswaram from today becomes 'Kalameswaram').

ஆஞ்சநேயர் சிரஞ்சீவி
ராமநாமத்தை உச்சரிக்கும் வரை உயித்திருப்பார்

(Anjaneya is Chiranjeevi, till he utters Rama's name will survive)

அப்துல்கலாம்
அவர் பெயரை மாணவர்கள் உச்சரிக்கும் வரை
இந்தியா உயிர்த்திருக்கும் !

(Till Abdul Kalam's name is remembered by students, India will survive)

மறக்கையில் ?

இந்தியா இறந்திருக்கும்.

Is it really necessary to remark and compare someone, however great he was, with a god and claim the said person was greater than this god? Only Hindus do this in my opinion.

I found this following picture and message comparing the late President with 'Hanuman' rather offensive.

If you look closely, the picture depicts him as Shri Ram, not Hanuman - notice the halo, the quiver on his back full of arrows, the color green, and him hugging his bhakta Hanuman. But, the text compares him to Hanuman. So, it is a kind of hybrid representation. It is tasteless but remember Hinduism is 'OPEN SOURCED' , which Hindus interpret as 'everything goes' and no one can dictate you about what to do, or how to observe it.

I am sure this is done by a non-hindu or someone belonging to Dravidian political outfit. Tamizhs centred political outfits from TN hate / doesn't accept the story of Sri Raam because their political survival is purely dependent on Srilankan ethnic conflict. And Sri Raam's history doesn't suite their intentions to balkanize India. Have you ever seen Mulayam Singh or Lallu Yadav supporting Raam Janma bhoomi movement. And the person behind this comparison could be a TN version of Mulayam Singh....
