When at night in the darkness ( code for differentiated/fragmented consciousness) the stars come out to brighten the sky (vyoman) the best they can ( to uplift society);
Then upon the morning light even these stars are no longer visible , awashed with the fullness of the sun (undifferentiated consciousness or fullness, paripūrṅānuttara¹ ) .
Even a glimpse (dṛṣṭipāta) from the sun rising, the dawn, & the night vanishes. Men may come and go, the ages may wax and wane, yet saṃskṛtam is eternal , the breath of para-vac.
iti śivaṁ
- paripūrṅānuttara = pari+pūrṅā+anuttara ajapa
- pari = fully , abundantly , richly
- pūrṅā = filled, finished , accomplished
- anuttara = chief, principle; nothing that can suprass this level
