I'm currently re-reading The Doctrine of Vibration by Mark Dyczkowski and I found the following germane lines in the introduction:

"We examine what is meant by Spanda in its own terms as a movement which proceeds from the interior domain of its undifferentiated consciousness, out to the exterior domain of its manifestation which is created as it moves outward and is destroyed when it returns to the inner state of undifferentiated unity."

Spanda is viewed as sāmānya spanda & viśeṣa spanda. If one cares to read a bit about this you will find it here : http://hindudharmaforums.com/showthr...578#post128578

Thanks Yajvan. I'm always pleased to see this topic aired, as it is very profound and beneficial and not much discussed it seems.
