Namaste Believer,
The forward caste establishment can complain all it wants about how conversion isn't helping disadvantaged Hindus, but they don't seem to be doing much to solve the problem.
A relatively unknown incident in Indian history is the protest movement in Kerala where peasant women from the Moppilah community demanded the right to remain fully clothed in the presence of landowning castes.
Apparently one of the privileges they enjoyed was the right to derive pleasure from viewing these women unclothed.
The Moppilah community at this time had a large Muslim population, so these advances wouldn't have been well received by them.
