Namaste,

This is modern new-age like poem (that doesn't follow a Grammatical structure).

This poem is written with the Hindu Karma theory in mind, that is, subsequent births result only because of our karma or actions, mostly bad ones at that.

Born in old-aged, and died young
----------------------------------------

I was thinking for a change...a beautiful thought

What if man was born elderly
And died young... as an infant
Then life won't run as good indeed
That which carries on for so many lives
Will come to an end in one single birth...
Old age gives one trials and hardships
And there comes with faltering steps, many wise lessons learned
Only he is there for me, the mind would say
And then will come youth in middle age
From the lessons learned earlier in old age
Broad mindedness and humane causes result..
Many services and good deeds result
And then would come infancy towards end of life
Followed by the never-failing death
It will bring the message that 'I lived'
There will be no tears over my gravestone
But there will blossom flowers of joy
Over a life well-lived and lessons well learned
Is there truly any more lives for me ahead? No...
Thus knows he... god, the doer
For life to go on, for earth to revolve,
There is a need for subsequent births, good and bad deeds,
So he brought the humans the convenient trend
Birth at infancy, death at old age..
For faltering humans learn only in the end this way
When its too late to practice what one learnt!

Thanks,

Viraja
