    Translations on Pali Suttas

    Anjali,

This morning I listened to a randomly chosen Sutta on mp3. It seems to fit into some recent topics. In this sutta a number of teachings are given. The reason for the gradual path and it's purpose to lead further onwards and inwards towards the final destination. The seven chariots could perhaps be the seven lokas leading to Saket, Ayodhya is also known as Saketa, there will be the visible earthly Saket and Ayodhya and the abode which is beyond the seven lokas.

    Re: Translations on Pali Suttas

    Namaste markandeya,
Great sutta. This bit gets to the heart of it in my opinion:
"The holy life is lived under the Blessed One, my friend, for the sake of total Unbinding through lack of clinging."
