Hi all,
This is a kind of random thread. . . If you were to list a fourth of these; which would it be?
Japa, Tapa, Dana
They were listed together (the four), and I haven't been able to remember what the fourth was.

This is an interesting question ...
In Bhagavad Gita XVII.27 Krishna mentions three - sacrifice, penance, charity
yajñe tapasi dāne cha sthitiḥ sad iti chochyate
karma chaiva tad-arthīyaṁ sad ity evābhidhīyate
The performer of such sacrifice is also called sat, as are all works of sacrifice, penance and charity which, true to the absolute nature, are performed to please the Supreme Person, O son of Prtha.
In X.25 He says that among the words He is AUM and among the sacrifices He is japa.
maharṣhīṇāṁ bhṛigur ahaṁ girām asmyekam akṣharam
yajñānāṁ japa-yajño ’smi sthāvarāṇāṁ himālayaḥ
Of the great sages I am Bhrgu; of vibrations I am the transcendental om. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himalayas.
Thus I wold say the four are Japa, Tapa, Dana, Yajna – where Yajna and Japa are the same.

Dance with Shiva - live with Shiva - merge with Shiva
Could it be this sequence that you are looking for, by any chance - japa, tapa, dharana, dhyana, samadhi, shoonya [different meditative practices and states of experience].
(Btw: Loved IndiaLover's answer).
jai hanuman gyan gun sagar jai kapis tihu lok ujagar
Yoga possibly.
Yes Yoga and/or Yajna seem very possible. I have not had one jump out at me yet.. I have done some searches too but have not found it.
Study of Shastras is also possible, as Yoga and Yajna are somewhat covered in Japa and Tapa, . . . . .
but logically it doesn't follow -- because that's always a bit secondary..
Definiely I'm thinking Yajna is most likely now. .
Like as mentioned here (Vedanta, I presume from Vivekananda lineage.)

...In the search, among other things I found this:
Vanara Gita put to music being chanted by children in Dallas.
