Namaste
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Vinayagar, and then Ganesha Visarjana (immersion and goodbye).
Here is the Ganesh Murti I made by hand of pure natural clay and pigmented with mild water colors, washable paint, for 10 days worship.
I will merge this Ganesha (Whom I named Vinayaka Raj) into a beautiful location in a delta river which currently has lotus flowers in bloom.
Om Namah Sivaya
Happy Ganesha Chaturthi everyone!
May your joy be as great as Ganesha's big belly, your worries as small as his mouse and all your enjoyments as sweet as the modakas He is fond of!

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi, everyone! May His blessings always be with you.
A small drawing I did yesterday -
Fully aware of the deficiency of my intelligence, I concentrate my attention on the son of Pavana,
And humbly ask for strength, intelligence and true knowledge to relieve me of all painful blemishes.
This is a particularly nice art drawing, Obelisk, very much so!
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!
Pranam
I agree ShivaFan that is truly a nice handy work, i like yours too, different expression of love.
May Ganesh Bhagvan guide us all and bless us.
Jai Shree Krishna
Rig Veda list only 33 devas, they are all propitiated, worthy off our worship, all other names of gods are derivative from this 33 originals,
Bhagvat Gita; Shree Krishna says Chapter 3.11 devan bhavayatanena te deva bhavayantu vah parasparam bhavayantah sreyah param avapsyatha Chapter 17.4 yajante sattvika devan yaksa-raksamsi rajasah pretan bhuta-ganams canye yajante tamasa janah
The world disappears in him. He is the peaceful, the good, the one without a second.
Namaste Shunyata,
GaNesh Chaturthi is not GaNEsh's birthday. Appearance of GaNesh is GaNesh Jayanti which is usually around the first half of January - or February at the most. Surprisingly, very few people are aware of GaNesh Jayanti.
Significance of GaNesh Chaturthi can be found in the purANas.
I remember you mentioned Ganesh's B'day on Ganesh Chaturthi two years ago (I thought it was on this thread itself but can't find it).

Thank you for enlightening me on this. I must look into this Ganesha Jayanti and try re-educating myself on the true significance of Ganesha Chaturthi.

The festival, also known as Ganeshotsav ("festival of Ganesha") is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhadrapada, starting on the fourth day of the waxing moon period. The festival lasts for 10 days, ending on Anant Chaturdashi (fourteenth day of the waxing moon period).
While celebrated all over India, it is most elaborate in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa. Outside India, it is celebrated widely in Nepal and by Hindus in the United States, Canada, Mauritius,Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Fiji and many parts of the world.
Lord Ganesh is called with many different names. Among them, devotees popularly called the Lord as Vigneshwara(Remover of Obstacles), Vinayaka, Ganapathi(In the name "Ga" means Intellect and "Na" means Wisdom- The Ganapati One who grants "Intellect" and confers "Wisdom").
The great Hindu purana ‘Mahabharata’ was written by Lord Ganesh when Veda Vyasa was chanting all the one hundred thousand( lakh )slokas continuously for several days.
Lord Ganesh grants us intellect and wisdom and remover of obstacles for any good work we do. So let us pray to Lord Ganesha on this auspicious day, to grant us intellect and wisdom to do good work in life and ability to understand what is good and what is our dharma and remove obstacles which are preventing us from acquiring good family values in life.
