Namaste all.
I have a questions:where is the greve of Bhagavan Srimad Ramanuja-acharya found?
Will a white western (like me) be allowed to visit it?
Regards,
Orlando.

Namaste Satay.
You are right.
We hindus cremate the corpses!

Namaste Orlando,
Sri Ramanuja's "grave" is in the city of Srirangam.
According to tradition, Sri Ramanuja decided to cast off his body at the young age of 120, at Srirangam. All his disciples and the entire town of Srirangam gathered in the temple of Sriranagam to witness his samAdhi. Sri Ramanuja first made a big statue of himself. Then, he entered into the statue in flesh and blood. He never died, and he was never cremated nor buried. This statue is still there in the temple, and you can see it if you can visit this holy city. ( I have)
This statue is held in high reagard and is live with spiritual vibration.
A clarification: Sanyasins are usually not cremated, they are buried.

Namaste Shri Sudarshan.
Thanks for your reply!
I found the image of the "grave" of Sri Ramanuja.
Now two questions about Srirangam:
1)Is it found in Vrindavana?
2)Will I be allowed to see the "grave" of Bhagavan Srimad Ramanuja-acharya?
Regards,
Orlando.
Srirangam is near Tiruchirapalli in TamilNadu, about 300 Km away from Chennai.
I am not sure you would be allowed, but I think if you wear Vaishnava marks you should be able to go in - I am sure Srivaishnavas are quite liberal in nature these days.
