    Interesting view on awareness

Very insightful view on the eye-mind connection. So in meditation, the question is not what to do, but what NOT to. It's to NOT concentrate, but simply be. That way, we'll be restored to our original state-natural, expansive awareness that requires no effort. Awareness is the key, and concentration the curse.

Various concentration techniques exist to bring mind to a certain point - a point where maintaining open, undisturbed awareness can actually be done successfully. If you look at something like Tilopa's Six Words of Advice to his disciple, this is the very simple instruction for meditation. Just letting go, not doing. Being. It's simple to write but seemingly impossible when practiced (or not-practiced) as most people will find.

Every time my meditation is successful I am always amazed at how simple the process is revealed to be.

Really it is too interesting to be of interest. I did not see mention of any curse in the blog, however, and that was somewhat interesting.
That which is without letters (parts) is the Fourth, beyond apprehension through ordinary means, the cessation of the phenomenal world, the auspicious and the non-dual. Thus Om is certainly the Self. He who knows thus enters the Self by the Self.

It's called inference. Concentration tends to narrow our vision down to one or few objects to the exclusion of others. So we might miss out on a lot of other things. Some people would think of this as a curse, in that we're trapped in a network of thought without no scope for expansion (of awareness).

Truly. Some people do interpretation of illusions. Who is concentrating? Illusion is concentrating. Who thinks that concentrating is a curse. Illusion thinks so.

How to be aware of awareness? By frittering away the concentration. A very nice prescription.
