Conch Sound in the Right Ear

I am a spiritual person but I do not do many spiritual practices, my temperament is spiritual and my lifestyle is good. I have been doing Pranayama for the past 4 years.

Recently one night at 11.00 o clock, I went and slept on Sofa. Suddenly in my right ear there was a loud sound of Conch blowing, and it came from the right ear, maybe from the right side of the body. I at once jumped from the sofa and fell on the ground, it was a scary to listen to such a loud sound in my ear.

My friends have advised me to go to saints, but I didn't find any saints in my city after much searching and visiting holy places, but have asked a few people and no one could answer the reason why I got the sounds.

I read a book of Sri Sarada Mata recently, and it said that it is Anahata sounds maybe symbolizing Kundalini awakening. I am 22 years old and most of the people I met are saying that at 22 years of age Kundalini awakening is not possible.

Can anyone give the reason for my listening to conch sounds?

Is it a good sign or not?

    namaste bhargavsai.

If you have an attack of giddiness or vertigo involving a feeling of circular movement of objects at irriegular and totally unexpected times, it could be a cause of the Mщniшre's syndrome (or disease); because I had a similar problem over 12 years back and was prescribed tranquilizer tablets such as the stugeron and vertin by the ENT specialists I consulted. My right ear always had a sound of air passing through it (as when the ear is closed by a cup) and the disease affected the hearing by 50% in that ear. Since the allopathy tablets caused acute stomach upsets, I switched over to Homeopathy, took the treatment for about two years and got almost completely cured, although the air sound persists mildly even now.

Also known as fluid-imbalance, the condition occurs when the inner and outer ear fluids mix due to a minute puncture in the ear drum, and it persists until the puncture heals.

Kindly note that I am not understanding your spiritual efforts or achievements.

Unless saidevo is right that it could have been because of an ailment, I think it is a good sign. I have also read it can happen during Kundalini awakening, but I think it can also just happen in meditation. It is said to be a spiritual sign, but one should not become attached to it. I do not know why anyone would say Kundalini cannot awaken at age 22. I had it at 20 and have heard of people having it at 17 - 19, and theoretically if a child's parents awakened it beforehand the child can be born with it. However a sound in the ear is probably not enough reason to study Kundalini, which has a bit more to do with a different part of the body.

It is not even worth thinking about Kundalini so much rubbish is written about this, it has become a dangerous thing.

I think this is getting off-topic. Most of what is said about diet outside of India to the point that it influences people is rubbish. Does that mean everything eaten is dangerous?

Now I do not recall whether conch sounds were written about in Sanatana or Buddha Dharma books, but are you saying it is rubbish? If so you may be right because I am not sure what I read about it was from any traditional source, but that is the question in question here.

No no, i have contacted a doctor, its not a disease, and I have no other symptoms of a disease. It has happened only once and since then it has never happened again. Actually it was just a recent incident in my life which never happened again...

But I think we should leave it here.

I am only worried about that incident because some of my friends said that Premature Kundalini is dangerous etc....

    Thanks

It's real. Everyone has this energy system. It activates in different ways, in different people in different times, due to different forms of stimulus. It's nothing to be afraid of, however if you start to have negative effects you need to find a qualified Guru to help you keep balance because as the process progresses it's very imbalancing, and that's what people call "danger."

There's a fine line between mastana states and insanity. Plus the human organism is dominated by cleverness of the ego/haumai. Once a person begins to experience phenomenon or siddhis, it can be construed as one's own, or a reward for spiritual attainment. Actually it is just a part of human psycho-spiritual physiology. A sant or sinner can have siddhis, just like great Siddhi Ravan the demon. Because the process is supposed to make you interiorize and become other-directed, moving praan through chakrs to open the dasm duaar and have Darshan of the God, the subtle egoism which is human nature actually reverses the process pushing the spiritual energies towards muladhara and desire for physical sensations.

Anyway, longest story short, best to proceed with a reliable Guru who can direct your sadhana and correct and put the ego under control.

There are 5 yogic sounds which can be heard, each corresponds to a chakra opening. Not to burst your bubble or anything, but a person's chakras can all open even to nirvikalpa samadhi experience and then that not be lasting and return to ordinary consciousness states. So it's a process of practices and interior purifications in the lifestyle that can bring about the actually spiritual development. Anyone can have a powerful opening and spiritual experience and it not necessarily be reflective of spiritual attainment. It's just the spiritual physiology of being human that we are able to open in these ways to the Divine.

Mūlādhāra opening gives the sound of buzzing bee.

Svādhiṣṭhāna opening causes sound of a flute.

Maṇipūra chakr gives sound of a harp

Anāhata opening gives sound of a gong/bell

Viśuddha gives sound of ocean roaring.

When a person hears all panch/five sounds together, that is the sound of conch. This indicates a person is entering a lower state of sanada samadhi, or samprajnata forms of savikalpa samadhi. Again, you can go high and wonderful and then come crashing down, so this is what is being discussed as potential for destabilization and imbalance of a person and lack of developed insights creating ego-identified misdirection of the spiritual energies. So the solution is find a good Guru who can keep you balanced.

Kundalini is related to the imagination. Kalpana is srishthi. If you do not have your imagination under control then creating shakti will cause the shakti to flow into areas of your personality that may be unpleseant or unperfected thus increasing these imperfections. Certain sounds may be warnings or encouragements depending on the individual.

Here is my humble take, for what its worth. It could be kundalini, perhaps not. The electricity of the body, and inner circuitry can do odd things. (I once heard the radio while in the state of half sleep, half awake) but the radio was not on. When I turned it on, I heard the song that I had been hearing in the inner ear for real.

Rising kundalini is not the goal. It is a process on the path, but not the goal. As with dreams, there should be no particular focus on them. If you become focused, then it is a side path. The goal is moksha, not just having such experiences. They are actually a barrier if you continue to focus on them. So if it were me, I would just let it pass, and continue on with life. It is living in the past to try to figure it out.

Regarding 'good' or 'bad', it is neither. In Hinduism, there is juast experience, neither good or bad. Good and bad fall within the polarity thinking of Abrahamic faiths.

Sharda mata is devi Saraswati , which is kundalini of studies , so your age is to go studies and not to saints .
