The picture...pains me. The thought of my own child being corrupted in such a way gives me much fear.
My oldest son(the atheist) he has come around so much. He had to choose a country to show to the class and picked India. They did the whole thing about the culture encased in Santana Dharma.
The whole class heard for the first time that Hindu are NOT pagan. The class listened...asked questions. He spoke of the ancient truth....that Hindu are moral good people with very high values. It was beautiful. A whole class of Anglo American children were given the truth yesterday!
Only one child refused to hear his presentation...a girl who stood up and told him that our whole family was going to hell. To which he replied...."I'm an Atheist....so the chances of my family burning in hell, are equal to you being born a dog in your next life, for being such an ignorant animal in this lifetime."
Always the joker, she wasn't offended...of course, she knows hell waits for him. Even his supposedly "educated" teacher told the class during studies on India that Siva was an "angry female goddess" which upset my son so much he had an outburst and said "You play too many video games, Siva is not male or female in reality...but male most of the time in my home." His teacher yelled at him for this...I can not understand how a teacher could be allowed to spread such ignorance.
In my heart I pray each day that there would be more dialog about the truth of Hinduism in America to the Anglo.... more volunteers going to school to speak on this. I am unfit...will never do. But true Hindu, with a lifetime of emersion into the knowledge, could change hearts, and perhaps do more than that. Plant a seed of enlightenment into the dog's heart<3
But, at least yesterday, a child did change the minds of one simple classroom..and from that classroom may bloom more tolerance..and less proselytizing. It's my heart's wish.
Even a small army, if well-entrenched, can repel
the power of a large army, forcing it to retreat.
