I was told that Ram had a sister ... Her name was "SHANTA"...or something like that....
I have read TULSIDAS'S RAMCHARIMANAS...there was no mention of it there
...can the leanered member throw some light on this ?

She was adopted by Dasratha's friend King Romapada because he had no children. And strangely enough she married the Muni Rshyshringa the same Muni that peformed putra kameshti yag for Dasratha.
Where is this stated in the Ramayan ?
