Saidevo: you mention chanting the gAyatrI. I was about to ask jokingly 'which gAyatrI?', but then the jest reminded me of a sincere question - where did all of the gAyatrI 'variations' come from in the first place? I've been wondering about that lately. Does anyone know? (I'll make a separate topic if needed, but I'm hoping it's a simple, quick answer that won't de-rail the conversation.)
