    World War Zero

Ok guys, why don't we use this thread to collect some outside the box articles regarding to peculiar facts of the Mahabharata and how it could have made the world political world geography as it was in the beginning of the Christian era.

Right off the bat I can think of this article:
    http://www.hitxp.com/articles/histor...t-nuclear-war/

That can be indirectly complemented by this one:
    http://www.hitxp.com/articles/veda/v...tics-geometry/

Other interesting takes could be, reasons for decline of Dharma, Dharma concentration on world geography, etc.

Well it is interesting, and as I was saying a while ago there was something I do think very odd going on in those early and unexpected civilizations. My little contribution here might be the Martian connection- there is a really remarkable amount of evidence that Mars had an extensive civilization that met with some catastrophe perhaps several tens of thousands of years back. Check out images of the D&M pyramid the Face on Mars and the tunnels on Mars for instance for some serious ancient civilization connections.

I don't remember if it was Saidevo or EM that mentioned about cycles on determined celestial bodies. Mars Cycle, then migration to Earth and the Earth cycle and the migration to the moon (not sure if that is what was said).

I also know that some new age circles state that other planets gross life is happening inside the surface, not on the outside. However I'm hard to give credibility to these circles.

But recently reading 'Lemurian Scrolls', it is mentioned how when past a certain point of evolution of a society, life begins to happen inside the crust, however I'm not sure it is referring to a gross life form, but rather a more subtle existence, near the Earth energetic core. I think EM could shed a brigther light on this.

We got a little off-topic fast...

Vannakkam: All this is beyond me. Like Pietro, I give no credibility to such things. Lemurian Scrolls is far more about how a group or souls arrived on this planet a long time back, and established ancient monasteries. Been a long time since I read it, and not one of my piqued interest areas,

For me and my POV it seems far more valuable to read the mahābhārata and take its fine lessons for one's consideration.

Yajvan, my curiosity here is about large scale political transitions and the overall political balance in the pre-Kali Yuga world.

It's about trying to see beyond the prejudiced view that BC civilizations were primitive (in the bad sense of the word).

It's also curiosity about what was India position to the rest of the world back then considering it was for several years during this Kali Yuga the most advanced society on Earth.

I'm just focusing on these gross aspects if you can forgive me for overlooking the fine spiritual lessons of the Mahabharata for a moment.

Did you want to have one thread with different links about the history of the Mahabharata?

    If so:
    http://www.thevedicfoundation.org/bh...mahabharat.htm

I'm not sure about the accurateness of this site:
    http://www.mahanbharat.net/geography

I too am interested in the "gross aspects" in addition the the finer lessons.

I think it's important that Hindus know more about our history in addition to strengthening our spirituality.

    Om Tat Sat
    Namaste Pietro,

one such name I can easily bring up in here with great joy is that of NICHOLAS KAZANAS. This contemporary greek and sanskrit scholar is currently based in Athens and has done some amazing work in deciphering and also translating sanskrit scriptures especially the rig veda. He presented some of his work on Mahabharata in Los Angeles in 2008.He focused on the timing of the mahabarata events.
Google his name to read his papers, probably you can write to him.cheers, shanti.
