Lord Shiva and the Ganeshji's Head

Well, why coulnd't Shiva bring his head back? I was wondering this and found this website. Basiclly, his origonal head represented the ego, and it was cut off. and the elephant head represtened the new pure head we get when we sacrafice. or something like that, right?

Very nice interpretation. This is how I also see it. The wisdom in the simplistic stories of the Gods are so deep and profound. Now Ganesha represent such great cosmic wisdom and in depth knowledge of Karma.
