In simple terms.
Advaita says all is one with consciousness and the Atman is permanent and other than consciousness is maya.
Buddhism says yes, all is interdependent, but consciousness is not permanent, and the common misconception is that it is nihilist philosophy. When it is said all is nothing, it means that everything is impermanent, and doesn't exist by itself which Buddhists find to be the greatest joy in great void that is the universe.
