    Many forms, yet same sap

    Namaste,

    Just as one see's the beauty of a tree, its leaves, branches, blooms, bark… its all the expression of the same sap. Like that, as Saguna Brahman manifest and mixes, takes union if you will, with the foundation of prakriti.
    When this yoga is with satwa guna shakti ( or Sri Lakshmi) we see Sri Vsnu manifest; with yoga of rago-guna or Sri Saraswati we see Sri Brahma manifest, and with tamo-guna or Sri Kali we see Sri Siva ( some call Rudra). All from the same nurishment of the sap.
    Some call the Sap Nayayan. Some look to the Siva Puranas or Visnu Purnanas and say my Lord is the lord of all… Some look to the bible and say my Jehova or Yahwe is the ONE. Some say Sri Krsna is the Universal Self and the Tad Ekam 'That One'.

    I see it all as the sap - that pure intelligence, pure consciousness that is the Satchitananada of existence and of non-existence…
    How we look at the sap in many different ways and devotions is rejoicing in the multiple ways IT/HE/SHE chooses to express IT-Self, again and again.
    It is only by the ointment of knowledge applied to one's eyes that we can appreciate the unity in the mist of diversity ( uni-verse). That we can make sense of all this and rejoice in each others God/Lord/Isvara/Bhagvan.
    May peace come to the family of man, during this time of rejoicing a manifestation of the sap ( Jesus) … just as we of Sanatna Dharma rejoice Sivaratri, Krsna Janmshtami, Ramnavami, Guru Purnima, Depavalli, etc.

    One last idea:
    The Purusha Suktam - any guidence here?
    The Purusha Sukta refers to the Parama Purusha, Purushottama, Narayana, in his form as the Virat Purusha, the source of all creation. He ( His form) having countless heads, eyes, legs, says/informs us He is manifest everywhere, and beyond the scope of any limited method of comprehension. All creation is but the fourth part of him. The rest is unmanifested ( the pure sap).
    How did this whole universe manifest , that is Purusha express Himself? Through yajya… this yajna was called ``sarvahut'', is the offering of all. The act of creation itself grew out of yajna, the rite of sacrifice. Who was worshipped at this sacrifice? It was the Purusha. Who performed it? Brahma, the creative aspect of the Purusha. What was sacrificed? Again, the Purusha himself, his great body that contained all of creation.
    This is a message of love, that the Purusha would consume himself in the fire of creation, to create all the worlds. From this sacrifice
    did all of creation emanate. This is why the sage of enlightened vision can proclaim:

    Idam brahma, idam kshatram, ime lokah, ime devah, imani bhutani, idam sarvam yad ayam atma."This Source of knowledge; this source of power; all these worlds; all these gods; all these beings; -- All this is just the Self."
    SAGE YAJNAVALKYA , BRIHADARANYAKA UPANISHAD

    Apparently, the "Jesus sacrifice" appears to be modelled on Purusha's sacrifice.

    "that the Purusha would consume himself in the fire of creation, to create all the worlds" (doesn't this look similar to)

    "that Jesus would consume himself in the cross, to save all the worlds"


    Creation of the worlds relates to the emergence of tattva jnAnam, and thus equivalent of saving. Sacrifice(yajna) is a highly technical term, in the true sense it is the sacrifice(surrender) of elements( tattvam like indriyas, manas etc) that separate us from God. The dawn of Jnana or spiritual wisdom and devotion is thus the true meaning of yajna. Purusha's sacrifice represents the ultimate sacrifice(surrender) every man must do (not just Brahma) to break free of bondage.

    Good point - as I have been pondering this for some time... Jesus as sacrifice, as yajna, of giving up one's self to the Lord. This is the teaching I am thinking of.
    Him healing the blind - not just those that have eye imparements , but those blind of the Truth.
    Feeding the Multiples - not those that just need food, but nourshment of the soul, with knowledge.
