    Ramayan: A poetic Translation

    Hello everyone,

i like to introduce you to this new book, entitled, The Ramayan: A Poetic Translation

To date this is the only English translation of the Ramayan written in the same poetic form as the original story, composed several thousands of years ago. It is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in Hinduism, as the story is presented in a concise, easy-to-follow manner, followed by a simple analysis of the main points at the end.

    Another book worth mentioning....
Adhyātma rāmayāna¹ , is the spiritual view worth one's time and reading.

    praṇām

    words

    • adhyātma = the Supreme; it also means concerning self
    • rāmayāna = rāma + yāna . Rāma we know as brahman ( so says bala khana, śloka 32-43) + yāna = path. So, rāmayāna is the path to rāma, to the Supreme, brahman.

    यतस्त्वं शिवसमोऽसि
    yatastvaṁ śivasamo'si
because you are identical with śiva
