Now this is a revealing article. Do any of you kind fellows have any more information on this sight? It really is astounding, this city would have presumably been, on dry land, during the last ice age?

The remains of what has been described as a huge lost city may force historians and archaeologists to radically reconsider their view of ancient human history.

Yes. The ice probably didn't reach further south than the Himalayas. And I think there are many more of these discoveries to come. Humans have been traveling the globe for at least 100,000 - 150,000 years. I think archaeology and anthropology and other -ologies will show civilizations far older than currently believed, not to mention those yet to be discovered that old. I think the IVC was far more extensive and older than anyone knows. Btw, satellite imaging is showing what may very well be the course of the Saraswati River.

I could be wrong, but this looks like Lord Krishna's kingdom of Dwarka, which began to be discovered in the Gulf of Cambay (now known as the Gulf of Khambhat) in the early 2000s. The entire city was submerged by the sea at the beginning of Kali Yuga after Lord Krishna left the Earth. I'm actually surprised more funding and publicity hasn't been put into these excavations, but I suppose the "secular" Indian media and government don't care too much about things like this pertaining to Sanatana Dharma.

Dr. S. R. Rao deserves a lot of credit for the tremendous effort he has put into this. This just further proves how there were human civilizations that are far more ancient that most people currently think. I think there will just be more discoveries like this in the future.

I was reluctant to mention that it is probably Dwarka; it was used as an example in Ancient Aliens: The Series to point out that humans of that time were apparently too stupid and primitive to build thriving and advanced technologies. They needed the help of extraterrestrials, which btw, the devas are supposed to be according to AA:TS.

I was reluctant because Ancient Aliens: The Series is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's like watching a pile-up on the interstate. You know it's wrong to look at it, but you can't stop.

Thank you for your thoughts and links to Documentaries; such amazing times that we live in. That we may share this knowledge in this way, is formidable also.

I feel that this notion or idea is very alien* to many; people who have grown up being taught a very different history. It is surly best to change this history slowly; shifting the perspective of truth must be done with tact. It is the foundation of an entire system of belief that is undermined. Is this not dharma moving laterally?

It would appear that the light of the word "alien" has changed somewhat in the last century. To my mind, we must try to refrain from letting this effect our understanding of our current climate and times. We must see through this linguistic bias.

The Ice age cycle, is as inevitable as our next breath; we would do well to meditate upon this.

You should see how Dr. Bob Cargill, an archaeologist and linguist in Semitic studies ripped Tsoukalos apart, professionally and personally on his blog site. http://robertcargill.com/2010/04/20/...story-channel/

In the first season episodes, Cargill appeared along with Michael Denin, Ph.D. in physics, to debunk the AA "theories" and play the role of scientific skeptic. Cargill's segments lasted all of about 10 seconds each, because he made too much sense.

He's Judeo-Christian (he subscribes to elements of both faiths), but he's extremely liberal and rips on Christians any time he can, especially when it comes to their interference in the lives and beliefs of other persons and peoples.
