The Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Delhi - Built in the 1930s, it was financed by the industrialist Birla, and is also known by the name Birla Mandir. For a long time it was the only big temple in the capital, the old ones having been destroyed by the invaders; until newer ones started springing in the 1960s.
