Murugan also very famous in Buddhism Mahayana as Skandha or Vedha Dharmapala, Chinesse - Japan and Korea is have very large worship to Skandha Veda Dharmapala, they always instal Skandha Dharmapala in their temple, Skandha Dharmapala appear as Chinesse ancient general, wear golden colour, in chinesse His name is Weituo Zuntian (Weituo is chinesse sanskrit pronounciation of Veda) , Zuntian is mean Deva.

The mantra is "Om Weituo Tianduo Mohotianduo Suoha" (this is chinesse pronounciation of sanskrit)
i will trranslate it :

Om = Aum
Weituo = Veda
Tian-duo = Devata
Moho = Maha
Tian-duo = Devata
Suoha = Svaha

i dont know why Skandha is called Veda in Chinesse Mahayana Buddhism
