    God is the only Doer!

    Namaste,

A tremendous and profound quote by Ramana Maharshi,

"The thinking mind can be temporarily suspended through the control of breath. It can be annihilated only when there is total understanding that God's will prevails all the time and the different forms are only puppets having no free will of their own. With this understanding three beautiful things happen: there is no 'one' to feel guilty or proud, to get frustrated or to have a sense of enmity. Life becomes simple.

Everything is occurring by God. Resting in Awareness the observing of all phenomena becomes a source of joy.

    Om Namah Shivaya

    My submission :

In macro sense - Yes. As the playground and the rules belong to God.

In micro sense - No. We still have some limited choice to seek our destination within the defined field.
    Love and best wishes:hug:

God can be the only doer because only he can knowingly and rightfully dispense the fruits of one's actions. If our free wills were simply arbitrary pebbles disturbing the pond of human affairs, then karma would be non-existent. Somehow one has to mediate God's influence in all affairs, intervening and setting all things in motion, according to a defined dictum, and human beings' own free volition. This in spite of the fact that we, as purely passive atman, never really do anything.
How can I put this in a sentence? Try next time.
