Re: Should we be Afraid of Death?

One thing that I notice in many Indian movies is that whenever someone dies, the character's relatives have a dramatic display of emotion.
This goes completely against the Bhagavad Gita, where Sri Krishna says that death is merely a change from one body to another.

    Can anyone explain this discrepancy?

Re: Should we be Afraid of Death?

No one came up to me and said ‘your time is up and you have only 3 months to go’ type of thing. I agree with EM that we have nt faced the inevitability as of yet, so it wont be an accurate response whatever I say here on this.

However, the first thing that comes to my mind is the distressful ‘what about those who miss me, would nt it be unfair to the living’ type of question. Once Iam gone I am aware I haven’t got anything to lose myself, but (some)others may well lose something. Indirectly therefore I will be the source for their suffering, and that is clearly unacceptable to me. Is it an excuse or a crutch, don’t know! Namaste.
