Next...South Indians are South Indians. "Dravidian" is a term that has connotations beyond what your post seeks to ask.
Plus, what is the point of living in Canada if you still continue to highlight and focus on North Indian, South Indian, Sikh, Dravidian, etc. Does not Canada teach you to look beyond these divisions?

Vannakkam Believer et al: Believer, thanks for posting this. Kamala, if and when you get to the point of actually going to South India, I'd be glad to give you any pointers I could on it, although I'm certainly no expert. Here is a link to the pilgrimage log I did some time back on here. There may be some helpful information in it. http://www.hindudharmaforums.com/sho...ht=Tiruchendur

'Dravidians' has never sought permission to worship 'non-dravidian' gods like shiva or krishna, just joking .
I am seeing a lot of dharma here.
I wonder what kamala's question is though south Indian temples?
I have only seen and been to one south Indian temples my whole life in America. That was the maricopa temple.
NOw -- I have noticed all types of people there. I think the way some times the worship might seem funny to north indian and vice verse but the one I have always noticed was that people were respectful regardless.
