Now for a few words about moses. Sure he led the jew out of egypt but the story is no exactly like the old testament version. The jews were paid craftsmen and landowners in egypt. The lived in mostly one area but the rulers of egypt didn't have much use for them because they were not only growing in numbers but were gaining wealth. The jewish people were a sort of exclusive organization below the egyptian government. Eventully he egyptians saw them as a threat and told them to leave the country. But he jews approiated some items when they left and the egyptian army gave chase.

If you check the old testament you will find that when moses returned from the mount to find the rest of the jew sinning, he found out that some wanted to go back to egypt and not wander around in the desert. So moses told then to divide themselves into those who wanted to follow gods word and those who wanted to go back. When this was done those who wanted to follow gods word killed all of the others. So if moses is a holyman I would say to keep a wary eye on holymen.

From what I have read.... during those days any period which was consider "resonably long time" was spoken as 40 days... some of the religious school have described 40 days as resonably or sufficiently long period ....

Would you mind giving your source of reference for claiming the inaccuracy of the "old testament version" of the Jews' exodus from Egypt?
