    Oh, I think personally I'm generally quite ignorant of the costs of such things.

    Is the artificial heart any more/less expensive?

    Biotech can cost more in R&D than mechanical biomed proving out new methods and developing the technical infrastructure around them.

    Good point. I wonder though if, in time, costs could reduce if the technologies were more readily available?
