Namaste
Once there was a very nice lady who would dress in all white yoga type garnets. She was a Westerner who loved Hinduism, which actually was a word she had a lot of problems with.
At one time she use to carry a white index card, upon which she would write down some quote or message which she thought was profound to her path. Sort of her own "mini Veda" if you will.
One day she was taking Darshan of a Guru who was teaching Tanmayatvam. She writes down on her index card an English quote of the Guru which she found profound to her path.
The Guru said in relationship to Viveka and of discrimination of judgement, that "From discrimination self-realization emerges".
So profound it was to her, she wrote the exact words He said on the index card.
But because her card was already full of quotations she had to write this down at the top where there was one line of space kept ready for some title which she had not yet decided to name.
She had a nice friend who was Mexican. Her friend showed interest in her religion, and the friend had some dilemma at the time, so the yoga lady gave her index card to the Mexican lady since she felt she had memorized these teachings.
The Mexican friend who spoke English gets back to her the next day.
"I don't think I like your religion. It says to realize (self-realization) you have to discriminate against other people" said the Mexican friend.
"And so you see?...." said the yoga lady to others back at the center, "This is how these things happen".
And she was right. That is exactly how these things happen. There was no error in the text. The word was there. And so it goes on, on, and on....
